IFTTT a good replacement for Twitterfeed

Unfortunately Twitterfeed is shutting down end of October.
I looked around and found another possible alternative:
While the massive features might be disturbing at first, you can do those simple tasks like posting blog entries to Twitter. And a lot of more stuff.

Ever thought to reverse this? A blogpost every time you tweet?
Absolutely possible :)

Twitterfeed closes its doors

The long year service, used by many thousands including almost all of my blogs, is shutting down.

The mail they sent out states:
We're writing to let you know that Twitterfeed will be shutting its doors on October 31st, 2016. It's been one heck of a run and we can't thank you enough for your loyal usage and support over the years.

Now, like many others, I have to think about alternatives. I'll take a look at the recommended services and

Researching for the netcasts now

I hope I can get some focus today. This time there is a lot to do.
Might listening to the Google Pixel ad song while doing the research. But fear not, The Pixel will be a topic, but there isn't so much to say this week.
Next week, we'll see :D
Only a few thousands articles to read. Piece of cake :)

Angry about the Pixel XL

So €1009 Euro for the Pixel XL 4GB/128GB.
Serioulsy, I never was so mad about a Google phone. Google hast totally lost it. Plus Google Home not available in Europe.

Yeah go on like that... If you really can think you can get iPhone prices from European customers.
Btw. €1009 Euro is $1129 Dollar.

I need to sleep a night over it, but I think Google did a really bad thing here. In both tech specs and price. I can't believe it.

Google Home could invade my home

Yes, I'm waiting for Google Home. On that system I will extend my home. Probably with Hue lights, switchable power outlets, and as the final step, door locks.
That's what I want. And Google has a hard time to fulfill this, because it's all fragmented.

Without a central hub like Google Home that can connect with all the appliances, the whole system is senseless.

Maybe this is something big. The rumored specs of the Pixel phones are not.

Looks like Allo is around the corner

Google changed the icon today. On the rumored date. That probably means we'll have it on our devices by evening.

EuGH verdict is a disaster for blogs

Especially for own microblogs.
Live by the link, die by the link. And I'm not talking about Nintendo here.
It's an essential thing for blogs. The future is dark grey in Europe for new small media projects.

In the past I referred to old media and new media. Now I need to change my language. It's small media and big media.
The small ones can't afford to link the source or giving useful hyperlinks to other sites.

And so if you wonder, why our fellow European internet users don't link back to you, that's because they can't check hundreds of links and the links from your links and so on. You can read it about it here:  The EuGH Link Disaster - It might be worse than you think
Yupp, I have a bad feeling about this.

Europe... where businesses are your enemies and your law giving holiness at once.

Writing a little Python-script for calculating time dilation

Yes, I know, I can do that in Google Sheets on a single cell.
But you never know if it is around in the future when you need it :P

So just for fun I'm writing a simple Python script to calculate the time dilation and remind me everywhere that you don't need to travel faster than light (which is impossible) or even with the speed of light to reach destinations thousands of light years away theoretically.
